Recently, Ihave been working on a skirt the color of red velvet cake. Underneath it, I wanted to create a tulleeffect, so I decided to use white crochet thread, as opposed to white yarn. That got me to think, “Why is it called crochet thread if you can knit with it,too?” There’s nothing wrong withit. It gives the piece a stiffereffect, and, when worked in stockinette st, it doesn’t curl up as much. When worked on larger needles, it almostlooks like it’s knitted in openwork. Mypoint is, crochet thread should not be limited to crocheting, especially if itlooks as good (if not better) knitted.
