I was informed a couple ofweeks ago about a way to help people while knitting. In Lynchburg, Virginia, a city near where I’m from, there arelots and lots of homeless people. Everyyear, there is a woman who knits hats, scarves, gloves, and mittens for them. Since then, Mom and I have decided to knitfor this cause as well as get other knitters (and the occasional * GASP *crocheter) involved.
If you live in an area wherethere are lots of, or any at all, really, homeless people, I would stronglyencourage you to do something like this. I realize that you can’t solve the problem of people being homeless, butI also know for a fact that there are plenty of things you can do to help maketheir situation a little better.
